The AGM of the North West Region will be held at the County Hotel, Carnforth, on Thursday 15 th May 2008 at 7.30pm . The County Hotel is situated off Junction 35, M6, in the centre of Carnforth, on the left, through the traffic lights.

AGENDA

1. Apologies for Absence

2. To confirm the minutes of the previous meeting held in November 2007, and discuss any business arising.

3. To discuss the summer events – The Great Yorkshire Show and the Progeny Show, Penrith.

4. To discuss two items from Council:

(a) to increase Association Subscription Fees from Jan. 2009

(b) a reduction in the number of Council Representatives from each Region.

5. To elect Council Representatives

6. To elect Judges and Officials for the Autumn Sales.

7. Any other business.

8. To receive the Guest Speaker

Mr Neil Keane, Beef and Sheep Specialist with Alltech Inc. will give an opening address, followed by Patrick Nuttall who farms in the Wicklow Mountains , south of Dublin , and lambs 600 ewes within a 14 day period. Patrick is a very interesting speaker who has been conducting sire reference testing on behalf of the Irish Government. Members – please support this meeting as it will be entertaining and informative.
