It was the 21 st BFL sale at Welshpool, and it saw averages rise in the opposite direction to the stock market, with yearlings up around £70 on the year to £270.60 and lambs up by around £25 to £180.3

Topping the trade was Sophie Harding, Shrewbridge with her 3 rd prize shearling ram, which sold for 700gns. This stylish shearling was by the Plas -y-ward Elite and out of a ewe by V79 Shrewbridge. This was the same breeding behind the female champion from Shrewbridge too, as Sophie completed a double when she also took the champion of the day when her Z21 Shrewbridge shearling by R4 Cocklaw A was placed at the top of the line by the judge Hazel Brown, Leadburnlea, which went on to sell for 650gns.

Also making 700gns was M Davies Grugoer, when he sold a shearling ram by the X11 Llwygy "RS" Elite +.
