Once again there was a great entry in the Bluefaced Leicester section at the Highland show with sheep from all across the country, and a crowd to match as the ring was heaving with spectators.

Taking the top honours were Derek Hall, Firth, and M/s Wight, Midlock, with a tup shearling they bought out of Castle Douglas last year for £6000 from John Kerr, Craigskean. Wallace Parker, the judge, proved that age is no hurdle for this years reserve champion, a ewe from Andrew Brown, Drumhumphry, which was at its 6th outing to the Highland, taking the same place it occupied last year.
