There was only a small show of Leicesters at the last ever Royal Show, but what they lacked in numbers was made up with quality. Judge Nicky Robinson placed a tup lamb by the Elian 17,000gns bought out of Builth wells last year by JM McLeod. This sharp lamb went on to take third place in the overall interbreed championship, fully justifying its Red White and Blue ticket.
It was a gimmer lamb by an Arkleby sire from Lisa Morris which took the reserve placing.
