Breed Champion:
Once again Glen Shapiro took the overall honours at the Great Yorkshire, with a ewe again by the consistant getting Barlaes Elite +. The ewe, Hazelwood Whytea, which was much admired amongst the watching breeders, is out of a ewe by the Newmills sire. She was shown as a gimmer lamb and gimmer Shearling but took a gap year last year, coming back fully renewed this time around!

Reserve Breed Champion:
Reserve Champion Bluefaced Leicester at the Yorkshire Show was a tup lamb from RA Carter, Parcelstown, who was showing at the Yorkshire for the first time in a number of years. His gimmer lamb was out of a home bred ewe and by a Arkleby Hall sire bought in Kelso last year, after winning its classes in last years progeny show at Penrith. Mr Carter also took the reserve placings in the Mule show
as well.
